Abstract

Although cyanide compounds are not incorporated in photographic processing solutions, false detection of cyanide ion is often encountered during the determination of total cyanide by various standardized methods such as ISO, ANSI and JIS. Various organic compounds and nitrogen compounds in the processing solutions were examined because of this false detection. The results suggest that hydrogen cyanide is formed by a reaction between these compounds during the distillation process for the separation of total cyanide, even though ISO, ANSI and JIS were used. The results support the following three mechanisms of cyanide formation involved in the process: (1) Hydroxylammonium salts reacts with another ingredient, formaldehyde, to form formaldoxime, which then decomposes to HCN. (2) Hydroxylammonium is oxidized by air to form nitrite ion, which subsequently reacts with organic compounds such as aminocarboxylic acids and aromatic amines (the colour-developing agent) to form HCN. (3) Potassium permanganate oxidizes aromatic amines to form HCN.  相似文献

The optical properties of two kinds of photochromic antiferroelectric liquid crystal (AFLC) containing an azo group have been examined. Depending on the substituting group at the chiral centre, these AFLCs showed different photoinduced phase transitions by Ar+ laser light irradiation. This phase transition has led to a new form of optical switching controlled by a bias voltage. In addition, it was found that these AFLCs caused an azimuthal photoalignment effect regulated by linearly polarized Ar+ laser light irradiation. The enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose I achieves almost complete digestion when sufficient enzyme loading as much as 20 mg/g-substrate is applied. However, the yield of digestion reaches the limit when the enzyme dosage is decreased to 2 mg/g-substrate. Therefore, we have performed three pretreatments such as mercerization, dissolution into phosphoric acid and EDA treatment. Transformation into cellulose II hydrate by mercerization and dissolution into phosphoric acid were not sufficient because substrate changed to highly crystalline structure during saccharification. On the other hand, in the case of crystalline conversion of cellulose I to IIII by EDA, almost perfect digestion was achieved even in enzyme loading as small as 0.5 mg/g-substrate, furthermore, hydrolyzed residue was typical cellulose I. The structural analysis of substrate after saccharification provides an insight into relationships between cellulose crystalline property and cellulase toward better enzymatic digestion.  相似文献

A nonenzymatic kinetic resolution of (±)-trans-2-arylcyclohexanols was carried out by esterification using polymer-supported N,N′-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), and 3β-acetoxyetienic acid. The efficiency of the kinetic resolution was comparable to the enzymatic method when arylcyclohexanols bearing a condensed-aromatic ring were used.

The regioselectivity (r.s.) and enantiospecificity (e.s.) of the substitution reactions of secondary propargylic alcohol derivatives using reagents derived from ArMgBr and Cu salts were studied. First, the picolinate, 3-methylpicolinate, and diethylphosphonate derivatives of Ph(CH2)2CH(OH)C≡CTMS were reacted with PhMgBr/CuCN in ratios of 2.5:2.7–2.5:0.25. The use of 2.5:0.25 ratio in THF/DME (6:1) at 0 °C for 1 h afforded the α-substitution product from the phosphate with ≥98 % r.s. and 99 % e.s. CuBr⋅Me2S gave similar selectivity. The reaction system was then applied to phosphates derived from R1CH(OH)C≡CR2 and ArMgBr to obtain synthetically sufficient r.s. and e.s. values with R2=TMS, Ph, whereas iPr was borderline in terms of size as an R1 substituent. The presence of a substituent at the o-position of Ar marginally affected the selectivity. We also found that the use of PhMgBr/Cu(acac)2 in a 2:1 ratio in THF produced the γ-substitution products (allenes) with high r.s. and e.s.  相似文献

A new indole alkaloid with the canthin-6-one skeleton, ishigadine A, has been isolated from an Okinawan marine sponge Hyrtios sp. The structure of ishigadine A was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. Ishigadine A is a new canthin-6-one alkaloid possessing a hydroxy group, a 1,3-dimethyl-4-methylthioimidazolium, and a 1-propylguanidine. Ishigadine A is the third canthin-6-one alkaloid from sponges. Ishigadine A might be generated from l-arginine, l-histidine, and l-tryptophan. Ishigadine A exhibited moderate cytotoxicity against L1210 murine leukemia cells.  相似文献

Two low‐symmetry phthalocyanines (Pcs) substituted with thiophene units at the non‐peripheral (α) and peripheral (β) positions were synthesized and their optical, electronic‐structure, and electrochemical properties were investigated. The substitution of thiophene units at the α positions of the phthalocyanine skeleton resulted in a red shift of the Q band and significantly modified the molecular‐orbital electronic distributions just below the HOMO and just above the LUMO, with distortion of the typical Gouterman four‐orbital arrangement of MOs. Two amphiphilic Ω‐shaped ZnPcs ( αPcS1 and αPcS2 ) bearing a π‐conjugated side chain with an adsorption site at an α position of the Pc macrocycle were synthesized as sensitizers for dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The absorption spectra of αPcS1 and αPcS2 showed red shifted Q bands and a broad band from 350 to 550 nm assignable to the intramolecular charge‐transfer transition from the ZnPc core to the side chains. Time‐dependent DFT calculations provided a clear interpretation of the effect of the thiophene conjugation on the typical phthalocyanine core π MOs. Compound αPcS1 was used as a light‐harvesting dye on a TiO2 electrode for a DSSC, which showed a panchromatic response in the range 400–800 nm with a power conversion efficiency of 5.5 % under one‐sun conditions.  相似文献

Cyclic arylene ethynylene hexamer 1 , composed of alternating 2,7‐anthrylene ethynylene units and meta‐phenylene ethynylene units, was synthesized. It shows C3 symmetry and possesses a flat and rigid conformation with a large equilateral triangle‐like cavity. Macrocycle 1 self‐associates through π–π stacking interactions between the anthracene‐containing macrocyclic aromatic cores with indefinite‐association constant KE=6980 m ?1 in CDCl3 at 303 K. Macrocycle 1 also self‐assembles into π‐stacked nanofibers in the drop‐cast film.  相似文献
